Industry History

Aroma Speciality Tea Industry (ASTI), founded in 2012, is nestled in the highland tea gardens of eastern Nepal. Specializing in premium orthodox teas - from golden needles and white tips to green, black, and oolong - ASTI is committed to organic, pesticide-free cultivation. With an annual capacity of 50,000 - 70,000 tons, the company works closely with smallholder farmers, 90% of whom are women, ensuring both quality and community empowerment. Beyond tea, ASTI also produces black cardamom, kiwi, and other local crops, while offering expertise in tea blending, packaging, and consultancy.

ASTI’s Tea Collection - is rooted in the Himalayan slopes of Nepal, crafted into two main categories - Loose Leaf Premium Teas and B2C Tea Brands. Our premium range includes Green Tea, Black Tea, White Tea, Silver Tips, Oolong Tea, Golden Needle/Tips, Pearl Tea, and flavorful orthodox blends like Cardamom, Cinnamon, and Ginger. Alongside these, we also produce kiwi and black cardamom grown in and around our tea gardens and nearby habitats. From soothing herbal infusions to bold, spiced black teas, every product captures the pure taste of the Himalayas - rich in antioxidants, supporting wellness, and made for tea lovers worldwide.

Green Loose Leaf

Crafted from tender, handpicked Himalayan leaves, steamed or pan-fired to preserve vibrant color, fresh aroma, and natural antioxidants. Delivers grassy, floral, and subtly sweet notes in every sip.

Black Loose Leaf

Made from fully oxidized, handpicked Himalayan leaves, this tea offers a rich amber liquor with bold, malty depth and subtle floral notes. Slow withering and rolling unlocks its complex aroma, creating a smooth, full-bodied brew perfect for a robust morning cup or an afternoon indulgence.

Golden Loose Leaf

Crafted from tender young buds covered in fine golden tips, handpicked from Himalayan gardens. Lightly processed to preserve its honeyed aroma and smooth, sweet flavor with delicate floral undertones, it brews into a golden liquor that’s as elegant as it is uplifting.

White Needle

A rare Himalayan delicacy made from young tea buds covered in soft silver down. The Fine grade features the most delicate, uniform buds for an ultra-smooth, sweet, and floral cup, while the Normal grade offers a slightly fuller body with gentle grassy notes. Both are minimally processed to preserve their natural antioxidants, producing a pale, refreshing liquor prized for its purity and elegance.

White Tea

A delicately crafted Himalayan tea made from young leaves and buds, minimally processed to preserve its silvery hue, fresh aroma, and high antioxidants. It brews a light, golden liquor with soft floral and honeyed notes, offering a smooth, refreshing cup celebrated for its purity and natural sweetness.

Green Pearl

Hand-rolled Himalayan green leaves shaped into tight pearls that unfurl beautifully when steeped. This gentle rolling seals in fresh, grassy-sweet notes and floral aroma, releasing a smooth, vibrant liquor with every infusion - a visual and flavorful delight in the cup.

B2C Tea Brands

ASTI’s B2C tea brands bring Himalayan flavor to everyday cups through robust CTC teas and smooth Orthodox blends. The CTC range, including Masala Tea and Premium Gold Tea, delivers bold, full-bodied brews ideal for a strong, energizing drink, available in convenient pouches, boxes, and jars from 18g to 1kg. The Orthodox selection, featuring Himalayan Black Tea and Himalayan Organic Green Tea, offers a refined, aromatic experience in both loose-leaf and tea bag formats, making premium quality accessible for daily enjoyment.

ASTI’s Orthodox Blends combine premium, hand-rolled Himalayan tea leaves with aromatic herbs and flowers such as cardamom, tulsi, jasmine, chamomile, and more.
